We’re looking for the next generation of Canvanauts! Canva’s 12-week, remote-friendly program runs from early December to late February, giving you the chance to work on meaningful, real-life projects from start to finish. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit our campus and experience the magic of Canva in person—consider your summer sorted.

Throughout the internship, you'll be supported by a dedicated Host and Buddy—your go-to people for guidance, support, and all the inside scoop on life at Canva. You’ll be part of a welcoming and inclusive Early Talent community of peers that take pride in Canva’s culture of being good humans and empowering each other to achieve our big goals.

And How You Can Work** Our flagship campus is in Sydney, Australia. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. If you call New Zealand home, we have our Auckland co-working space too. But where you work is up to you. You’d Be Doing In This Role** As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

The Moment, This Role Is Focused On**

Designing creative assets to support new product launches, landing pages, internal communications projects, and a wide range of other communication outputs.
Developing design guidelines and toolkits for high-priority brand campaigns
Creating and building a diverse range of content (digital and motion) that brings Canva to life in exciting creative executions
Collaborating with a team of writers, designers, art directors, animators, videographers, and marketers to bring our brand campaigns to life in unique and unforgettable ways
Familiarising yourself with the performance of your work and learn for future executions.

You're probably a match if**

You are currently enrolled and completing your studies between 2026 and mid-2027.
You are based in Australia or

New Zealand and have working rights. Please note that Canva will not be able to sponsor visas and relocate for Early Talent roles.

You are ready to present a portfolio of personal projects and case studies from inside or outside the classroom showcasing brand design principles and craft, a modern style & aesthetic, creative thinking and attention to detail
You enjoy collaborative working environments and idea exchanges
You have the ability to receive constructive feedback on work.
You are a great problem solver able to clearly articulate your ideas
You’re interested in learning about digital strategies and web-based methodologies, because your work will help define the future of Canva’s brand
You’re a great team player, open to collaboration and active contribution to brainstorming sessions
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Invision and Canva
Good organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
You are excited to explore AI tools and use them in smart, helpful ways to boost your workflow.
You are able to commit to the 12-week, full-time summer program from early December 2025 to late February 2026.
