Job Title: Area Manager - Apparel

Location: QLD Area

Reports To: National Retail Manager

Job Summary: AXL+CO is seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Manager to oversee the operations of multiple stores in the apparel industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving sales, coaching store managers, building a strong sales team, and successfully opening new stores. The Area Manager will ensure excellent customer service, implement company policies, and maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation across all locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Performance:

  2. Drive sales targets and KPIs for all stores within the area.

  3. Analyse sales data and trends to identify growth opportunities.

  4. Develop and implement strategies to boost store performance.

  5. Team Management and Coaching:

  6. Recruit, train, and develop store managers and staff.

  7. Provide ongoing coaching and support to store managers to enhance their performance.

  8. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

  9. Store Openings:

  10. Oversee the opening of new stores, ensuring they meet company standards.

  11. Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth and successful store launches.

  12. Develop and execute plans for market entry and expansion.

  13. Customer Service:

  14. Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met across all stores.

  15. Handle escalated customer issues and complaints in a timely manner.

  16. Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements.

  17. Operational Excellence:

  18. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

  19. Oversee inventory management and stock control.

  20. Conduct regular store visits to ensure operational consistency.

  21. Visual Merchandising:

  22. Maintain high visual merchandising standards in all stores.

  23. Implement seasonal and promotional displays as per company guidelines.

  24. Ensure store layouts are attractive and customer-friendly.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail management, with at least 2 years in a multi-store management role.

  2. Strong leadership and team management skills.

  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  4. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

  5. Proven track record of driving sales and improving store performance.

  6. Experience in coaching and developing store managers.

  7. Knowledge of visual merchandising principles and practices.
