The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in the Common Law Division of the Supreme Court of Victoria. Duties Include Assisting with the production of judgments, including proofreading and editingClerking in courtReviewing files and ordersPerforming administrative tasks, including maintaining court records and preparing material for use by the judge in courtPreparing research memorandaTravelling on circuit when required Liaising with court staff, the public, the media and the profession You should have Excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to convey information confidently and accurately over the telephone, in person, and via written communication Exceptional legal research skills, proofreading and writing skills and an excellent academic recordAn ability to work collaboratively within a small team environmentExcellent time management and organisational skillsDiligence and a strong work ethicA strong interest in a career in the lawA law degree Justice Gray’s current responsibilities include judicial review and appeal cases and trusts, equity and probate cases.
