Architectural Draftsperson

About the role

Sutainable by Design is seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson / Building Desinger to join our team in Wollongong. This is a full-time position, where you will play a crucial role in the development and production of architectural designs and drawings for our clients.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings and models using CAD software

• Collaborate with clients, builders, engineers, and certifiers to ensure design intent is accurately translated into technical drawings.

• Review and interpret design briefs, client requirements, and building codes

• Assist with the production of application plans and details for council and private certifiers

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our design processes and standards

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in Architecture, Building Design, or a related discipline

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Architectural Draftsperson, with a strong understanding of architectural design principles and construction methods

• Proficient in the use of Revit

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret and translate design concepts into technical drawings

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
