About the Role
As an application Specialist, you will work closely with GB’s internal users, external stakeholders and developers to support and troubleshoot issues relating to claims management and various business-related systems. You will also work amongst a progressive team of IT specialists to analyze and test systems, and audit and verify data with a goal to improve application delivery to the GB business.
How you'll make an impact
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing product support for both technical and non-technical issues
- Process Automation
- Conducting activities for the maintenance of the various components of the Claims Management platform
- Undertaking Level 2 and above analysis, investigation and resolution of system and user issues
- Working closely with the core project team to understand and help roll out new functionality
About you
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in customer service delivery within a technology environment, ideally Application Support
- An Information Technology tertiary qualification and/ or equivalent experience
- Experience with diagnosing and remediating technical issues and application queries
- Experience with integrated Enterprise Platforms
- Intermediate SQL skills
- Awareness of and adherence to information security
- Strong Attention to detail, time management, collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and tasks
- Ability to maintain good relationships with internal and external customers and vendors
- Proven ability to engage and negotiate with people, and develop and maintain effective relationship
- A sound understanding of customer service delivery in an IT environment and service management methodologies (such as ITIL)
- Ability to successfully pass basic level Australian Federal government security clearance
Things that would be an advantage:
- Software development skill including JAVA in regards to integrated Enterprise Platforms
- Insurance/Claims Management software experience
- Experience with Document Management, Document Rendering and OCR applications.
- ITIL Foundations Certification
- Insurance experience
- Experience with integration applications
