The successful intern would get exposure to the following duties with one of our host companies:Perform Bank Reconciliation: Accurately reconcile bank statements with accounting records to ensure completeness and correctness of financial data.Utilize Accounting Software: Generate financial reports and manage transactions using accounting platforms such as Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.Prepare Tax Returns: Complete and lodge individual and business tax returns in compliance with ATO regulations.Business Activity Statement (BAS): Accurately prepare and lodge BAS, ensuring compliance with GST and other statutory obligations.Client & ATO Liaison: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and the Australian Taxation Office to address queries and ensure smooth processing of financial matters.Bookkeeping & General Accounting: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.Administrative & Customer Service Tasks: Perform day-to-day office duties including answering calls, managing emails, handling documentation, filing, and providing exceptional client service.
