Job Description
Our client, Personalised Support Services, is a trusted NDIS service provider based in Dandenong, Victoria, committed to delivering exceptional support to individuals with disabilities. Specialising in core supports, support coordination, supported accommodation, and group activities, the organisation is dedicated to walking alongside participants and their families to ensure they receive the services and care they deserve. With a reputation for trust and reliability, Personalised Support Services is looking for a full-time Accountant to join their growing team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the organisation’s financial health as it continues to make a meaningful impact. The annual salary for this position is $90,000 to $100,000 plus superannuation. Responsibilities include:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and monthly/annual financial reports.
- Assist in creating annual budgets, working with management to forecast and plan for NDIS-related expenses and revenue.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure timely processing of payments and adequate liquidity for the business.
- Oversee payroll, ensuring support workers and staff are paid accurately and in line with NDIS requirements.
- Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with NDIS funding arrangements.
- Ensure the organisation complies with all relevant taxation laws, including GST, payroll tax, other financial obligations, and NDIS-specific funding regulations.
- Support internal and external auditors during annual audits and ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Track and allocate funding following individual participant plans, ensuring that services and resources are properly accounted for.
- Generate financial reports and provide analysis to senior management on the organisation's economic performance, budget variances, and areas of concern.
- Monitor the utilisation of government grants, NDIS funding, and other financial resources, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and maximising the efficient use of funds.
- Assist in streamlining financial processes and implementing best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial management.
- Provide financial advice to management on financial planning, risk management, cost-saving initiatives, and optimising NDIS funding use.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Should have at least three (3) years of experience in a similar setting.
