MOTEL MANAGER – Fulltime position

Malabar Motels Qld Pty Ltd T/as Kilcoy Gardens seeks a full-time Motel Manager to join our management team. As a motel manage you would be solely responsible for the entire operations of Kilcoy Gardens. 

Tasks & Responsibilities

As the Motel Manager, you will be solely responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations at Kilcoy Gardens Motel. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the motel, including guest accommodation, housekeeping, maintenance, and front office services.

Ensuring the smooth running of reservations, accounting processes, and property maintenance through hands-on leadership and attention to detail.

Actively participating in all operational areas, including housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk duties, as needed.

Supervising the maintenance team, ensuring timely resolution of guest requests and adherence to preventative maintenance schedules.

Monitoring third-party booking platforms to ensure accurate rate management and optimizing all distribution channels for maximum occupancy.

Maximizing room occupancy while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of property offerings, rates, and availability.

Leading and motivating the motel team, setting high standards for punctuality, grooming, and professional behaviour, while providing coaching and performance feedback.

Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this role, you must have:

A Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent relevant experience.

A minimum of 1–2 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably as a motel manager.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high service standards.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
