We are currently seeking a Lead Early Childhood Educator to join our team on a full-time basis. The suitable candidate will be required to live and work in the Northern Territory; this is not a FIFO position.
Benefits
Remuneration: $35–$40 per hour depending on experience (based on a 38-hour work week) + superannuation.
Task & responsibilities
- Responsible for designing and implementing a high-quality, inclusive and engaging early childhood education programme that fosters the physical, emotional, intellectual and social development of children
- Lead and mentor educators, providing guidance on best practices and professional development opportunities
- Assist in recruitment and training of new team members
- Build and maintain strong, respectful partnerships with families to support their involvement in their child's education
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child's development and the centre's activities
- Support the Centre Director in day-to-day operations and administration, including rostering and resource management
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to support programme delivery.
Qualification & experience
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- At least two (2) years in an early childhood education setting, with leadership responsibilities
- In possession of a Northern Territory Working With Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
- Obtain a current National Police Check
- Provide first aid in a childcare setting (HLTAID012)
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQF and relevant regulations
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
