Weigh up ingredients in exact quantity to make dough for different products according to recipes

Kneading dough in dough mixture for the time according to recipes

Cut, weigh and shape the dough with machine or manually according to end product.

Put the shaped dough in pans, trays or tins

Check the size of product in proofer and when its ready put it in the hot oven for baking

Observe the colour and state of the product being baked

Apply glazes, icing or other toppings using spatula or brushes when product gets cooled down.

Emptying the pans, trays or tins after unloading products and clean all equipment used to make end products

Benefits

Salary: $77,000 per year + Superannuation

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in a similar role (local experience preferred)

Task & responsibilities

Check the cleanliness and checking the quality of all the raw products used in dough mixing

Follow the occupational health and safety regulations in the bakery.

Set up steam level and temperature for proofer

Set up the temperature of oven according to the products

Qualification & experience

Formal baking/pastry qualifications are desirable but not essential if you have relevant experience
