You will work closely with supervisors, site managers and other trades to ensure plastering works are completed efficiently and to the required standard. <h3>Benefits</h3><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="text-align:justify;">Full-time employment with consistent work opportunities</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Competitive remuneration based on skills and experience&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Opportunity to work on a variety of construction projects&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Supportive and professional work environment</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Opportunity to further develop trade skills and industry experience&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Work alongside experienced construction and trade professionals</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Flexibility with rosters where possible, to help you balance work and life</li></ul> <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Assess site conditions and determine plasterboard layouts for walls and ceilings, including insulation and vapour barriers.</li><li>Measure, mark, cut and securely install plasterboard panels to walls, ceilings and battens.</li><li>Install corner beads to achieve straight, durable corners and edges.</li><li>Install cornices, mouldings, ceiling centres and other decorative plaster features.</li><li>Finish joints, seams and fixing points using plaster and suitable jointing compounds.</li><li>Smooth and blend plastered areas to achieve an even finish.</li><li>Mix and apply plaster, cement and render to walls, ceilings and other substrates.</li><li>Apply plaster, cement and render to specified thicknesses while maintaining level coverage.</li><li>Check and correct the alignment and level of walls, ceilings, corners and angles.</li><li>Create textured, patterned and decorative finishes to project specifications.</li><li>Apply acoustic, thermal insulation and fire-resistant finishing systems using compatible materials.</li><li>Clean, patch, repair and level substrates before plastering and rendering.</li><li>Inspect finishes for defects and carry out necessary remedial work.</li><li>Select and safely operate plastering tools, equipment and machinery.</li><li>Follow construction drawings, specifications, manufacturer instructions and site directions.</li><li>Verify compliance with Australian Standards, building requirements and company quality procedures.</li><li>Coordinate with supervisors, site managers and other trades to maintain efficient work sequencing.</li><li>Maintain clean, organised and hazard-free work areas.</li><li>Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.</li></ul> <h3>Qualification & experience</h3><ul><li>Cert III in Solid Plastering, Plastering or a closely related construction trade</li><li>Previous experience working as a Solid Plasterer in residential and/or commercial construction</li><li>Demonstrated experience in surface preparation, rendering, plaster application and finishing</li><li>Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications and work instructions</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship</li><li>Good understanding of construction site WHS requirements</li><li>Ability to safely use plastering tools, equipment and machinery</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Physically capable of performing manual and construction-related duties</li><li>Current construction industry White Card</li><li>Reliable, punctual and committed to meeting project deadlines</li></ul>
