Danish Broadcasting Corporation have its night-time news coverage in Sydney since 2023. We took that step to bolster our journalism during night-time hours. Our journalists working during the day in Australia cover both Danish and international stories, providing fast and timely coverage to Danes on what has happened overnight.DR’s is seeking a cross-media journalist who will run DR’s platforms from the news desk in Sydney when it is night in Denmark.&nbsp;These are permanent positions. The purpose of this new desk was to upgrade and improve DR’s news coverage during night-time hours. Duties vary and include, among other things, hosting a radio news show every hour, a greater presence on dr.dk and the improvement of our morning prime time content across DR’s platforms.It is essential that you have experience with radio and web journalism, that you can take responsibility and work independently, and that you cooperate well as the office is small and consist of five reporters. About the role
We are looking for skilled Set Builders to help us install and assemble beautiful prefab Christmas displays and premium joinery across the Sydney Metro area and some occasional regional sites. This is an exciting, fast-paced seasonal role running from mid-October through to mid-January. Because these displays are set up in major public spaces, the work is mostly done on night shifts when venues are closed.
Key responsibilities

<li>Interpret build plans accurately on-site</li>
<li>Load and unload trucks and storage units</li>
<li>Work hard to meet strict nightly deadlines</li>

<li>Must be fully available for night shift work between October and January</li>
<li>Background in carpentry, set/stand building, or cabinet assembly</li>
<li>High confidence operating a variety of battery tools</li>
<li>Current Driver's Licence, reliable vehicle, and a valid Whitecard</li>
<li>A team player who can also work unsupervised under pressure</li>
<li>Forklift licence and experience required</li>
<li>Electrical experience or EWP / Telehandler tickets are a massive plus</li>

 This event is a highlight of the year, filled with laughter, connection, and festive cheer. Your work will help us tell the story of our vibrant community, celebrate our members, and inspire others to get involved.



 **Key Duties**

 - Capture high-quality photos and short video clips throughout the event, including family interactions, children’s activities, Santa’s visit, and general event atmosphere.

 - photos of each family by themselves.
 - Take a small selection of posed group or individual shots (as requested).
 - Edit and organise a curated set of photos and short video highlights for use on our social media, website, and newsletters.
