The role involves interpreting installation plans, assembling and positioning structural steel components, operating lifting and rigging equipment, installing bracing and anchoring systems, and verifying that completed structures are correctly aligned, securely connected and structurally stable. <h3>Benefits</h3>Competitive annual salary plus superannuation paymentsFull-time, permanent position <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3>Role Responsibilities include:<ul style="list-style-type:circle;"><li>Interpret site plans, event layouts, installation instructions and manufacturer specifications for marquee structures&nbsp;comprising steel framing members and other associated structural components.</li><li>Set out installation areas and prepare steel structural components according to the required marquee size, configuration and site conditions.</li><li>Erect and dismantle temporary marquees for weddings, corporate functions and private events.</li><li>Assemble, lift and position columns, beams, roof members, bays, braces and other structural components used in large marquee systems.</li><li>Extend portal framed marquees by installing additional structural bays according to event capacity and layout requirements.</li><li>Align, fit and secure structural components using bolts, pins, clamps, brackets and other specified fastening systems.</li><li>Install steel bracing, supports, base plates, anchoring systems, guy ropes and tensioning equipment to maintain structural stability.</li><li>Attach slinging gear to steel components and lifting equipment using appropriate methods.&nbsp;</li><li>Set up and use winches, hoisting and rigging equipment to raise and position steel beams, columns, roof sections and other structural units.&nbsp;</li><li>Guide and control steel components while they are lifted and positioned during the erection and dismantling process.&nbsp;</li><li>Check the line, level, alignment, connections and stability of erected structures against installation plans and manufacturer requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Install framework and supporting components for marquee walls, interior draping, lighting and associated event infrastructure where required.&nbsp;</li><li>Install temporary guardrails, safety lines and other fall-protection systems required during structural erection and dismantling.&nbsp;</li><li>Inspect structural members, fasteners, lifting gear, bracing and anchoring systems before and during installation, identifying damaged or unsuitable components.&nbsp;</li><li>Adapt erection methods and sequencing to accommodate different event sites, ground conditions, access restrictions and customised marquee configurations.&nbsp;</li><li>Dismantle marquee structures following events by safely lowering, disconnecting and separating structural components in the required sequence.&nbsp;</li><li>Sort, inspect and prepare dismantled steel components for transport, storage, maintenance and reuse at subsequent events.&nbsp;</li><li>Follow working-at-heights, lifting, rigging, manual-handling and site-safety procedures throughout event installation and pack-down activities&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp;Skills and Competencies:<ul style="list-style-type:circle;"><li>Ability to interpret structural installation plans, site layouts and manufacturer specifications.</li><li>Knowledge of structural steel erection and dismantling methods.</li><li>Ability to assemble, align, position and secure steel columns, beams, braces, portal frames and roof components.</li><li>Competence in setting up and using winches, hoists, slinging gear and rigging equipment.</li><li>Knowledge of bolts, pins, clamps, brackets, anchors, guy ropes and other structural connection systems.</li><li>Ability to check structural line, level, alignment, connections and stability.</li><li>Ability to identify damaged or unsuitable structural components, fasteners and lifting equipment.</li><li>Understanding of safe lifting, working-at-heights, fall-protection and manual-handling procedures.</li><li>Ability to adapt installation methods to different site conditions and structural configurations.</li><li>Strong spatial awareness, attention to detail and ability to work safely as part of an installation team.</li><li>HR Drivers licence</li><li>Forklift ticket</li><li>Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team</li></ul> <h3>Qualification & experience</h3>Qualification:<ul style="list-style-type:circle;"><li>Must hold either a relevant AQF certificate II or III, or</li><li>Have at least one year of relevant full-time work experience to substitute for the qualification listed above</li></ul>&nbsp;Work Experience:<ul style="list-style-type:circle;"><li>At least 1 year of relevant, full-time work experience</li></ul>

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Lines Worker to support the installation, maintenance and repair of underground telecommunications infrastructure. The role involves working across copper and fibre networks, completing civil works and delivering quality outcomes in accordance with job specifications and company safety procedures.Reporting to the Director/Coordinator, you will work closely with the field crew to complete assigned works safely and efficiently.<h3>Key duties</h3>Interpret drawings, specifications and site plans to determine equipment locations and connection requirements.Conduct site surveys and assist with network design and installation planning.Identify, locate and protect underground services.Install and repair underground communications conduits, pits and lead-ins.Operate excavators, horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and vacuum extraction equipment within your qualifications and authorisations.Complete rodding, roping and cable hauling through underground networks.Prepare and joint copper cables, including large main cables, joint enclosures, joint re-entry and sheath sealing.Undertake copper network repairs and remediation.Install and splice fibre optic cables, perform passive optical network (PON) testing and complete node commissioning.Carry out jumpering at pillars and nodes and establish connections to end users.Diagnose faults using electronic instruments and transmission measuring equipment.Install, repair, replace and test telecommunications equipment used for data transmission.Undertake asbestos-containing material (ACM) communications pit removals and upgrades within relevant qualifications, authorisations and safe work procedures.<h3>Responsibilities</h3>Follow the Work Coordinator’s plans, instructions and job requirements.Monitor crew members’ compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.Maintain accurate timesheets and work progress records.Keep relevant tickets, certificates and accreditations current.Promptly report workplace hazards, incidents and health or safety concerns.Inspect, care for and maintain safety equipment.Follow company safety and quality policies and procedures.<h3>Skills and experience</h3>Relevant experience in underground telecommunications installation, maintenance or civil works.Practical knowledge of copper and fibre networks, cable installation, jointing and testing.Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow work specifications.Relevant qualifications and current tickets for the work undertaken, including a White Card and traffic management accreditation where required.A strong commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship and teamwork.Good communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate work records.
