Telecommunications carriers, NBN delivery partners and security integrators add further demand, with data centre construction driving strong growth in structured cabling work.

Cablers progress to leading hand and site supervisor roles, then project management and estimating with contractors. Specialisations in fibre splicing, testing and certification or data centre work lift earnings, and many experienced cablers establish their own contracting businesses.
