The Opportunity
Reporting to the WHSE Manager, you’ll play a critical role on a high‑profile $106M commercial build, ensuring safety is embedded in every stage of delivery.
This is a hands‑on, high‑impact position where you’ll:
Be present on site driving best practice
Influence teams and subcontractors
Take ownership of compliance and safety systems
Help shape the safety culture on a flagship project
Once established, you’ll be trusted to identify improvements, implement initiatives, and drive outcomes that matter.
Key Responsibilities
Drive WHSE compliance through site audits, inspections, and risk assessments
Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions
Manage WHS documentation (contractor compliance, plant, registers, hazardous substances)
Investigate incidents and oversee corrective actions and reporting
Maintain emergency preparedness and site readiness
Report on WHS performance and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
At least 4–6 years’ WHS experience in the construction industry (commercial project exposure highly regarded)
Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
Strong understanding of WHS legislation and best practice
ICAM Certified (preferred)
Confident communicator who can influence and engage site teams
Hands‑on, proactive, and genuinely passionate about safety
