WHS Advisor – Tier 1 Civil Project | Dubbo NSW | Contract

About the Opportunity

EverCert is recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 Civil Engineering client delivering a major project near Dubbo, NSW. We're looking for an experienced WHS Advisor to join the project team on a contract basis, with the potential for ongoing full-time engagement for the right person.

This is a hands-on site role — you'll be embedded with the project team, owning the day-to-day WHS function and working directly with the client's WHS team to keep the project compliant and the workforce safe.

The Project is based near Dubbo NSW and is a major renewable energy project.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deploying and implementing the project WHS Management System

• Managing contractor onboarding through the project's digital WHS platform

• Reviewing subcontractor WHS documentation including Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)

• Managing high-risk construction work (HRCW) activities and associated controls

• Facilitating WHS communication and consultation in line with agreed project arrangements

• Conducting emergency drills and exercises in line with the Emergency Management Plan

• Conducting WHS inspections and audits across the project site

• Managing incidents, near misses, and non-conformances through to close-out

• Liaising with the client's WHS team and supporting their requirements

• Preparing and delivering regular WHS reports

What You'll Need

• Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher)

• ICAM Lead Investigator certification

• White Card

• Current First Aid and CPR certificates

• Valid driver's licence

• Proven experience in a site-based WHS role on civil infrastructure or construction projects

• Solid understanding of WHS legislation and high-risk construction work requirements

• Experience reviewing SWMS and managing subcontractor WHS compliance

• Comfortable working with digital WHS management systems

The Details

• Location: Dubbo NSW preferred — candidates located in or near Dubbo will be prioritised. FIFO arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.

• Engagement: Day rate contract

• Duration: Ongoing, with potential to convert to a full-time permanent arrangement
