Benefits
This is a full time role, working 38 hours per week over 5 days.
Annual salary: $77k + superannuation
Task & responsibilities
Core Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the service of food and beverages, ensuring compliance with liquor licensing, workplace safety, and employment legislation.
- Oversee patron care, including customer engagement, conflict resolution, and responsible service of alcohol.
- Ensure customers are served in a professional and timely manner, maintaining high service standards across bar and restaurant areas.
- Supervise, train, and mentor food and beverage staff, including daily briefings, on-the-job training, and education in beer styles and menu items.
- Manage rostering, timesheets, and scheduling using systems such as Tanda.
- Liaise with the Head Chef on menu updates and specials to ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and front-of-house.
- Control stock for the bar and restaurant, including monitoring kegs, bottle shop inventory, reordering, and minimising wastage.
- Operate and reconcile point-of-sale systems, take payments, and balance cash registers.
- Manage reservations and bookings through Nowbookit and oversee reception and phone enquiries.
- Work with management to meet daily financial and service targets.
Hands-On and Supportive Duties
- Oversee and, where required during busy service, assist with greeting and seating guests, explaining menus and specials, and providing recommendations.
- Supervise staff table service and bar standards, ensuring efficient delivery of food and beverages, correct table settings, and product knowledge in pairing food with beer.
- Monitor and direct clearing of tables, glassware, and cutlery, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout the brewery.
- Ensure correct and safe handling of beer and other beverages, including pouring, changing kegs, and maintaining cellar hygiene.
- Step in to support staff with service duties during peak periods to maintain smooth and consistent operations.
You will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager and Directors of the business and all other Front of House staff will be reporting to you.

Qualification & experience
Qualifications:
- RSA
- Approved Manager
- AQF or equivalent Certificate II or Ill in Hospitality, or have at least one year full time previous experience in a similar level leadership role for a minimum of 1 year as a substitute for the formal qualification
