Junior School | Fixed Term – 0.48 load

Are you a creative and enthusiastic Visual Arts educator ready to inspire young learners? St Michael’s Grammar School invites applications for an engaging Visual Arts Teacher to join our Junior School team. This fixed-term position carries a 0.48 load and will commence at the start of Term 3, 2026, concluding at the end of Term 2, 2027. In this exciting role, you’ll nurture artistic expression and creativity in students from Kindergarten to Year 6, delivering dynamic programs in a supportive and stimulating environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and delivering inspiring Visual Arts lessons across Years K–6
• Collaborating with colleagues to integrate art into broader units of inquiry
• Fostering a positive, inclusive, and creative classroom culture
• Working independently and as part of a dynamic, collaborative team
• Contributing to the life of the School through active participation in programs and events

What We’re Looking For

• Tertiary qualifications in teaching (primary) and relevant methods
• Understanding of the Reggio Emilia Educational Project (highly regarded)
• Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
• Anaphylaxis Management, Level II First Aid Certificate and CPR (essential)
