Underground Mining Supervisor (Deputy)

We are currently seeking a Underground Mining Supervisor (Deputy) to join our team based in Australia.

We're looking for an experienced and safety-focused Underground Mining Supervisor (Deputy) to join the team at Chain Valley Colliery.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for leading your crew safely, keeping production moving, and maintaining high operational standards underground. We're looking for someone who can lead from the front, communicate clearly, and build a strong team culture on shift.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and supervise underground mining operations in line with statutory and site requirements.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, mine safety management plans, and operational procedures.
• Foster a team environment that prioritises safety, efficiency, and well-being.
• Mentor and develop team members, empowering them to perform at their best.
• Collaborate with other leaders to achieve production and maintenance goals.

What we're looking for

• Certificate of Competency as a Deputy, Undermanager or Mine Manager.
• Current Practising Certificate and up to date logbook.
• Leadership skills / experience with a focus on managing a team operating in an underground environment.
• Experience in the prioritisation of panel resources to optimise and continually improve results while safely maintaining and improving standards.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence and communicate both verbally and in writing at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to manage all activities in accordance with relevant WH&S and Environmental obligations.
