Task & responsibilities

• Operating heavy vehicles safely to transport grain, mining materials, and bulk freight
• Loading, securing, transporting, and unloading materials in accordance with safety procedures
• Conducting pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Monitoring vehicle performance and reporting maintenance or repair requirements promptly
• Maintaining accurate delivery records, logbooks, and transport documentation
• Ensuring compliance with road transport laws, fatigue management, and workplace safety regulations
• Planning delivery routes and schedules to meet operational deadlines
• Communicating professionally with dispatch staff, site supervisors, and customers
• Checking load distribution and ensuring cargo is properly restrained for safe transport
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and operational presentation standards
• Following company operational procedures and safety policies at all times
• Assisting with general transport and logistics duties as required

Qualification & experience

• Valid HR, HC, or MC heavy vehicle driver licence
• Certificate II or III in Driving Operations is desirable but not mandatory
• Minimum 1-3 years of relevant truck driving experience preferred
• Experience in grain haulage, mining transport, or bulk freight operations preferred
• Good understanding of transport compliance, fatigue management, and road safety regulations
• Ability to operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules
• Physically fit and capable of handling transport-related duties
