Task & responsibilities

• Operating heavy vehicles to transport freight across metropolitan, regional, and interstate routes
• Loading and unloading goods using safe handling techniques and equipment
• Securing loads in accordance with transport safety regulations
• Conducting pre-start, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintaining accurate logbooks, delivery documentation, and compliance records
• Planning routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
• Complying with fatigue management, mass limits, and road safety laws
• Performing minor vehicle maintenance and ensuring cleanliness
• Communicating effectively with dispatch teams, clients, and logistics staff

Qualification & experience

• Valid Heavy Vehicle Driver’s Licence (HR/HC/MC preferred)
• Minimum 1–3 years of truck driving experience
• Experience in general freight or long-haul transport (desirable)
• Strong understanding of Australian transport and safety regulations
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
• Clean driving record
• Good time management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
