Task & responsibilities

• Operating heavy vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
• Loading and unloading cargo using appropriate equipment and safe handling practices
• Securing loads to ensure safe transportation and compliance with regulations
• Performing daily vehicle inspections and reporting mechanical issues or faults
• Maintaining accurate logbooks, delivery records, and documentation
• Planning routes and ensuring timely delivery of goods
• Complying with fatigue management, mass limits, and road safety laws
• Carrying out minor vehicle maintenance and cleanliness checks
• Communicating effectively with dispatch teams, clients, and management

Qualification & experience

• Valid Heavy Vehicle Driver’s Licence (HR/HC/MC preferred)
• At least 1–3 years of relevant truck driving experience
• Good understanding of Australian road safety and transport regulations
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet delivery deadlines
• Clean driving record
• Good communication and teamwork skills
