Punjab Roadtrains Pty Ltd T/A Auswide Transport Solutions is seeking experienced and safety-focused Truck Drivers to support its interstate freight operations across Australia.

This role involves operating MC road trains and B-double vehicles on long-haul east-west freight routes while ensuring compliance with fatigue management requirements, transport regulations, and workplace safety standards.

Drivers will be responsible for the safe transportation of freight, vehicle inspections, load security, and maintaining accurate documentation while working within a professional transport environment.

Task & responsibilities

  • Operate MC and B-Double trucks and road trains for interstate freight transport
  • Transport general freight across long-distance routes including east–west linehaul operations
  • Load and unload freight safely, including the use of equipment such as power jacks where required
  • Ensure all cargo is correctly secured and maintained safely throughout the journey
  • Conduct pre-start inspections and routine vehicle checks to identify potential safety or mechanical issues
  • Operate heavy vehicles safely and in compliance with all road safety and traffic regulations
  • Maintain accurate logbooks, trip sheets, timesheets and delivery documentation
  • Check consignment documentation and verify the condition of goods during loading and delivery
  • Obtain delivery confirmations and maintain proof-of-delivery records
  • Comply with fatigue management rules, workplace health and safety policies, and legislative requirements
  • Report incidents, vehicle faults or safety concerns promptly to management
  • Maintain communication with dispatch and operations teams to ensure timely deliveries


Qualification & experience

  • Valid MC (Multi Combination) Truck Licence
  • Minimum 1–3 years’ experience operating heavy vehicles such as B-doubles or road trains
  • Experience in interstate linehaul or long-distance freight transport preferred
  • Strong understanding of fatigue management and heavy vehicle regulations
  • Knowledge of load restraint and freight handling procedures
  • Ability to complete trip documentation and logbooks accurately
  • Strong commitment to safety and responsible driving practices
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict delivery schedules
