The role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Travel Consultant (Multi-Destination) to join our Sydney team. The purpose of this role is to provide professional travel consultation services, planning and coordinating travel arrangements for clients worldwide. The role focuses on delivering tailored itineraries, bookings, and travel advice, while supporting students and travellers in aligning their journeys with study programs and cultural experiences abroad.


Benefits

Competitive salary of $75,000 – $80,000 per annum, plus superannuation


Task & responsibilities

  • Determine clients’ travel needs and tailor options for flights, accommodation, transport, and insurance.
  • Plan and suggest itineraries for individuals and groups, including student travel packages linked to study enrolments.
  • Make and confirm bookings for flights, tours, and related services across multiple international destinations.
  • Provide advice on visas, health cover, insurance, baggage allowances, and international travel regulations.
  • Issue tickets, itineraries, vouchers, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Liaise with accommodation facilities, education institutions, airlines and service providers to arrange and adjust bookings.
  • Research and share up-to-date destination information, including cultural and lifestyle considerations.
  • Support clients with pre-departure arrangements and after-sales service.
  • Assist in promoting Tagarela’s global offerings, expanding beyond Australia.
  • Stay current with travel trends, airline schedules, and visa regulations.

Qualification & experience

  • At least a Certificate IV in Communication, Travel, Tourism, or a related field (or equivalent training).
  • At least 12 months’ full-time experience in travel, tourism, or international education.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese, with Spanish desirable.
  • Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to deliver tailored travel solutions.
  • High attention to detail and proven accuracy in handling bookings and documentation.
  • Customer-focused approach, with experience in managing enquiries and resolving issues.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of travel industry trends and international education pathways.
