Some people present. Others make a room forget to check their phones. If you're the second type (and you also happen to be low-key obsessed with AI) we have a job that was basically built for you.
About Us
We're Inventium, Australia's leading behaviour change consultancy, and a team of science nerds who have never once used the word "synergy" unironically. We turn evidence-based research into practical tools that organisations actually use. Right now, a big part of that is helping businesses build real AI capability through Inventium.ai. Which is a long way of saying: we need a brilliant facilitator.
The Role
We need an Inventiologist, which is our word for the trainer/facilitators who deliver Inventium's programs across Australia (and sometimes around the world). In this role, that means helping organisations actually build AI capability, not just sit through a demo and nod politely. You'll be the person who makes complex ideas click for rooms full of people who walked in sceptical and leave genuinely excited.
You’ll Love This Role If:
Standing in front of a room - whether that’s 10 executives or 200 graduates - makes you feel genuinely alive
You have a superpower for taking complex ideas and making them feel completely accessible (and maybe even a little bit fun)
You thrive in a small, fast-moving team where you muck in and do what it takes
Regular interstate travel sounds more energising than exhausting
The idea of working with a team of psychology and science nerds genuinely excites you
You reckon AI is pretty fab.
The Must-Haves:
That X Factor - the ability to command any room, earn trust fast, and make people genuinely want to keep listening
A real passion for AI and evidence that you’ve been actively using it (you’ve probably been at it every day for quite some time)
Experience as the “front person” - you are deeply comfortable being centre stage
The ability to make complex ideas feel simple and accessible (without dumbing them down)
Based in Melbourne (or surrounds)
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
Experience facilitating in corporate environments (formal training and development background is a plus, but not a dealbreaker if your facilitation experience comes from elsewhere)
A knack for virtual delivery - around a third of your work will be on camera, so you need to be just as compelling on screen as in person
An openness and flexibility that means you say “great, I can do that” rather than “that’s not my job”
A genuine love of learning - both for yourself and for helping others get there
A terrible habit of sharing “did you know” facts about AI, human behaviour, or both
What We Can Offer You:
A salary of $100-120K + super + team bonuses, dependent on experience.
The Gift of the Fifth - our take on work-life harmony with a four-day work week
A generous 5.5 weeks of annual leave (we give our team a bonus 1.5 weeks over Christmas that doesn’t eat into your standard 4 weeks)
Love work from home? So do we! When we’re not travelling to client workshops, we are a remote first business. No return-to-office-mandates here.
Purpose-driven work as a certified B Corp - we're here to make a real difference
3 days of paid volunteering leave annually to support causes you care about
An annual learning allowance to help you grow and thrive
A tight-knit team of absolute superstars who are genuinely passionate about what they do (no B players here!)
What’s Next?
Once we've received your application, we'll reach out ASAP inviting all applicants to record a two-minute video answering the question:
"What's an AI technique or use case (that most people haven't heard of yet) that you think is underrated?"
Please note: we will only be considering applications that submit a video. A real human (not an AI) will be reviewing your application. Applications will close Friday 12 June at 5pm.
Please note: while we are a fully remote workplace outside of client workshops, we have a strong preference for Melbourne-based candidates for this role. Please take this into consideration before spending the time preparing your application.
