About the RoleIn this hands-on role, you’ll deliver engaging, compliant training and assessment to students undertaking Health Services Assistance qualifications, while providing meaningful support to help them succeed.
This position is ideal for an RN who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and contributing to high-quality vocational outcomes—without full-time hours.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & Student Support
Deliver engaging training aligned with the Training and Assessment Strategy (TAS)
Conduct assessments using validated tools and provide clear, constructive feedback
Monitor student progress, attendance, and engagement
Provide individualised student support and reasonable adjustments
Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
Compliance & Administration
Ensure training and assessment activities meet RTO Standards
Maintain accurate student records and assessment documentation
Contribute to continuous improvement of training materials and resources
Essential
Registered Nurse (current registration)
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116, or equivalent)
Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in an acute care hospital setting
Highly Desirable
Experience training or mentoring Health Services Assistance students
Strong understanding of VET compliance and ethical practice
Confident communicator with a student-centred approach
