About Fibre Dynamics Engineering

Fibre Dynamics Engineering is an Australian-owned telecommunications construction and engineering company delivering mobile network infrastructure projects across Australia.

Due to the recent award of a major Telstra 5G deployment contract, we are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Technician to support installation, commissioning, integration and acceptance activities across Victoria and regional Australia.

This role is initially offered on a casual project basis, with the opportunity to progress to part-time or full-time employment based on performance and project requirements.

Regional and interstate travel will be required.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work across Telstra wireless infrastructure projects, supporting installation, commissioning, integration and acceptance activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installation of telecommunications equipment

  • Fibre optic testing and troubleshooting

  • DC power and alarm integration

  • Radio and transmission equipment installation

  • Site commissioning and testing

  • Equipment configuration and cutovers

  • Site acceptance and handover documentation

  • HOP documentation preparation and close-out

  • Network integration support

  • Quality assurance and compliance reporting

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have previous Telstra wireless project experience.

  • Minimum 3–5 years telecommunications industry experience

  • Proven experience working on Telstra mobile network projects

  • Experience with:

    • Ericsson equipment

    • Fibre testing and troubleshooting

    • DC power systems

    • Alarm integration

    • Site commissioning

    • Site acceptance activities

    • HOP documentation

    • RFU processes

  • Current Driver's Licence

  • White Card

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and remotely

  • Willingness to travel throughout regional Victoria and interstate

Highly Desirable

  • Previous Service Stream project experience

  • Current or previous Telstra accreditations

  • Integration and commissioning experience

  • Fibre splicing experience

  • Working at Heights

  • First Aid Certificate

  • RF Awareness Certification
