We are partnering with a large organisation undertaking a major technology transformation and are seeking an experienced Technical Test Lead to drive automation, quality engineering and testing capability uplift across a complex multi SaaS environment.

This is a hands on technical leadership role that combines automation framework design, quality strategy and delivery leadership to improve release confidence, execution speed and long term maintainability.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks across API, integration and UI layers

• Driving an API first testing approach including contract, integration and end to end testing

• Embedding automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines

• Leading secure test data management, including masking and provisioning of sensitive data

• Defining and executing performance and compatibility testing strategies

• Providing hands on technical leadership through mentoring, code reviews and engineering best practice uplift

• Coaching project teams and vendors while building testing capability across the organisation

• Establishing quality metrics, dashboards and reporting to measure automation effectiveness and release readiness

About You

You will be a senior testing professional with strong technical depth and a passion for modern quality engineering practices.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Experience as a Technical Test Lead, Senior SDET or similar role within complex enterprise environments

• Strong software engineering and automation framework design experience

• Deep expertise in API automation, contract testing, integration testing and end to end orchestration

• Experience implementing CI/CD quality gates and automated testing pipelines

• Knowledge of test data management and data masking solutions

• Experience with performance and compatibility testing in cloud based environments

• Hands on experience with tools such as Playwright, Karate, GitHub and related automation technologies

• The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands on delivery and practical outcomes
