ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
The English, Legal Studies & Humanities Teacher delivers an engaging and challenging learning experience in line with the values of the School and the Anglican Schools Commission.
Working collaboratively with Curriculum Leaders and fellow teaching staff, the position will foster a learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, engage respectfully with diverse perspectives, and develop a deep understanding of historical and contemporary issues.
This role focuses on educating the whole student academically, culturally, spiritually, socially, and emotionally, through high-quality classroom practice, a commitment to student wellbeing, and engaging, inclusive learning programs.
The candidate will be responsible for delivering an engaging contemporary curriculum using evidence-based pedagogy and differentiated teaching strategies to meet the needs of a diverse cohort of learners. The successful candidate will promote positive classroom relationships, uphold high expectations for learning and behaviour, and contribute positively to a supportive and collegial school culture.
In addition to classroom responsibilities, this role supports the School’s pastoral framework by nurturing respectful relationships, modelling the School’s Christian values, and demonstrating a genuine care for students’ wellbeing.
