About the role

This full-time Tax Accountant position is based in Mount Pleasant, WA 6153. As a Tax Accountant at Lee Millar Accounting, you will play a key role in providing expert taxation advice and services to our clients. Your work will be essential in ensuring our clients meet their tax obligations and maximise their tax savings.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing and lodging tax returns for individual and business clients

2. Providing tax planning and advisory services

3. Advising clients on complex tax matters and applicable legislation

4. Conducting tax research and analysis to identify tax planning opportunities

5. Collaborating with the wider accounting team

6. Maintaining detailed client records and documentation

7. Continuously updating your tax knowledge to stay ahead of changes in legislation

What we're looking for

1. Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field

2. CPA, CA or IPA membership

3. 3 years' experience in a tax accounting role with AO/AE knowledge

4. Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation laws and regulations

5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

6. Ability to communicate complex tax matters to clients in a clear and concise manner

7. Commitment to providing exceptional client service

8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy

9. Australian citizenship required
