Systems Administrator – Microsoft Identity & Access Management

Melbourne | Hybrid | 2-Month Contract | Immediate Start

We are seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management Engineer to support a customer-facing identity project for a leading technology consultancy.

This is a part-time contract engagement requiring approximately 2–3 days per week, with a combination of onsite attendance in Melbourne and remote work. You will work alongside senior technical resources delivering Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) initiatives
• Configure and administer Microsoft Entra ID and Entra External ID environments
• Assist with Azure AD B2C implementations and support activities
• Manage user identities, authentication, authorisation and access policies
• Support Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and identity lifecycle processes
• Work collaboratively with senior engineers to deliver project outcomes
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer where required

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID
• Experience with Entra External ID and/or Azure AD B2C
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) or Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) experience
• Experience with SSO, MFA, Conditional Access and identity governance concepts
• Strong understanding of Microsoft cloud technologies and hybrid identity environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Highly Regarded

• Previous consulting or project-based delivery experience
• Experience working in enterprise or government environments
• Microsoft Identity-related certifications

• Melbourne-based engagement
• Approximately 1 day per week onsite
• Additional 1–2 days per week remote
