Task & responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and maintaining database architecture, data structures, and naming conventions to ensure data integrity
- Establishing and maintaining backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
- Implementing and enforcing database policies, security controls, and documentation
- Testing database systems and upgrades, debugging and resolving issues against quality testing processes
- Liaising with security vendors and service providers, monitoring SLAs and contractual obligations
- Diagnosing and resolving server-related hardware and software malfunctions across workstations and communication infrastructure
- Monitoring and optimising network performance and planning for future infrastructure needs
- Maintaining comprehensive operational documentation and system logs
Qualification & experience
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (Computer Science, IT, or similar)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar Systems Administrator role
- A proactive approach to problem solving and system improvement
