About the Role:
  
An exciting opportunity is available for a Structural Engineer to join the professional and cohesive team. This position offers an excellent technical mix of both design and site-based engineering work, providing exposure to a wide variety of projects. The work is diverse, technically challenging, and highly engaging: no two days are the same.
  
Based in Wickham, the role offers flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to travel to client sites across Newcastle and the Hunter Valley to conduct inspections, investigate structural issues, and assist in resolving complex engineering challenges.
  
Aspec genuinely value technical engineering capability and actively support their engineers through mentoring, structured professional development, and hands-on project exposure. Engineers are encouraged to deepen their expertise, work closely with highly experienced professionals, and develop into respected technical specialists within their discipline.

To be successful, you will have:

• Structural or mechanical engineering degree
• Previous site-based engineering experience in ports, mining or heavy industry
• Strong technical skills including structural integrity inspections and report writing
• Design, FEA and drafting/ modelling experience is highly regarded
