The role:
IBIS TRADING PTY LTD, trading as OM Spice Grocery, is seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager for its specialty grocery store located in Carseldine, Queensland. This is a full-time, permanent position (38 hours per week), offering a competitive salary in the range of $77,000 to $85,000 per annum (excluding superannuation), depending on experience and qualifications. The role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in retail or grocery management who can take ownership of store operations, stock control, team performance, and customer service excellence.

Task & responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficient and profitable business performance
- Manage stock levels and inventory control to avoid shortages or overstocking
- Implement effective purchasing and pricing strategies to ensure cost efficiency and competitiveness
- Develop and execute marketing and promotional campaigns to drive customer traffic and sales
- Provide expert customer service, including advising on product selection, use, and care
- Maintain accurate financial and inventory records, and manage store budgeting
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff to build a high-performing team
- Monitor team performance and uphold customer service standards
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and company policies
- Foster a clean, safe, and inclusive store environment
Qualification & experience
- Diploma or higher qualification in Business Management, Retail Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- At least 1–2 years of proven experience in a similar retail leadership role
- Strong leadership and team coordination capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated sales acumen and a strong customer service mindset
