Sports Development Officer

Gainsborough Greens Golf Club is looking for a fulltime sports development officer to develop and deliver coaching programs to its current and future customers. The successful applicant will have a passion for golf and motivated to develop and promote the game among adults and children.

Benefits

This position is a full-time salaried position of 38 hours per week and will include weekend work. Uniforms and lunch are also provided to employees. The position is available for immediate start.  

Task & responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate player development programs across all age groups 
• Administration support to club for the promotion and development of the sport and services 
• Planning and budgeting yearly programs
• Provide clear instructions to coaches to implement programs 
• Keeping coaching on time and overseeing other coaching staff members
• Directing fun and interactive game strategies 
• Teaching of adults and children 
• Development of long term growth strategies for golf in the region
• Arranging competitions and promotional events to encourage involvement in golf
• Collect, analyse and report on participation statistics and performance metrics for players, coaches and programs 
• Ensure all programs comply with child safety legislation, member protection policies and Work Health and Safety standards. 
• Retail shop assistance for advising golf equipment
• Promotion of entire facility through the broad community and local school's network
• Be up to date on the latest trends and new products coming to market.

Qualification & experience

• Diploma or higher qualification in relevant field 
• 2-3 years work experience in related field 
• Passion for sports and coaching
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven Ability to plan organise and deliver structured sporting programs 
• Enthusiasm and energy to engage with children and adults of all ages 
• Reliable and punctual 
• Relevant coaching certifications (preferred but not required).
