š¤ About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Counsellor to join our team.
In this role, you will provide traumaāinformed counselling to women impacted by domestic and family violence, supporting their emotional wellbeing, safety, and recovery.

š± What Youāll Be DoingProvide safe, supportive counselling to women impacted by domestic and family or sexual violence
Conduct holistic assessments, including mental health, trauma, and safety planning
Deliver evidenceābased, traumaāinformed therapeutic support tailored to each client
Walk alongside clients through crisis, recovery, and healing
Work collaboratively with other services to ensure coordinated care
Maintain respectful, confidential, and highāquality client records
You are empathetic, grounded, and committed to supporting women in a way that honours their strength, choice, and lived experience.
You will bring:
A Bachelor qualification in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
Experience delivering mental health counselling using evidenceābased and traumaāinformed approaches
Professional membership (ACA, PACFA, APS, or AASW)
A current Queensland Blue Card and driverās licence
Experience working in domestic and family violence or with vulnerable communities will be highly regarded.
