ilma Beach House is looking for outstanding new team members to join us in the positions of Sous Chef and Chef de Partie. In these full-time roles, you will play a key role in our kitchen operations, supporting the delivery of an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Our menu celebrates vibrant flavors, fresh seafood, and seasonal produce, all Mediterranean-inspired in keeping with the style of ilma Beach House.

Your expertise will shine as you support the team in creating a memorable culinary journey, all while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service. Reporting directly to our Head Chef, you will collaborate to ensure the continued success and excellence of the culinary offerings.

About you

-Relevant qualification (Cert III or above) would be highly regarded

-Minimum of 12 months of work experience in a similar role

-Strong technical cooking skills and a deep understanding of various cooking methods.

-Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills for scheduling, inventory, and multiple orders.

-Preparing high-quality, innovative dishes using fresh, seasonal local produce

-Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment

-Support the development of creative, high-quality menus that showcase the best of local and seasonal produce

-Provide mentorship to a team of skilled chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment (Sous Chef)

-Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and to the highest standards of food safety and quality

-Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and an exceptional guest experience

-Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and implement continuous improvements
