The Role

Reporting to the Sourcing Portfolio Manager, the Sourcing Specialist role sits within our wider Sourcing and Partnerships team.

You will be responsible for working collaboratively and proactively with key stakeholders from across the business to understand and engage with the supply market on key business needs and objectives.

You will play a support role to the Sourcing Portfolio Manager and Sourcing Specialists in the team on Strategic Projects and Supplier engagements, whilst leading the sourcing for Resource Augmentation and lower spend and risk engagements.

About you

A developing Procurement and/or Sourcing Specialist, you possess a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar capacity within a highly regulated environment. Transferable skills and willingness to learn Procurement will be considered

You possess foundational understanding and knowledge in the end-to-end supply chain and procurement lifecycle including contracts negotiations and executions/extensions and working with external suppliers on any source to contract market activities.

You have the passion and ambition to continue furthering your development and career in the sourcing and procurement space with the willingness to pro-actively take ownership of tasks and activities assigned to you.

Lastly, you possess the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive delivery of any business objectives and outcomes.

Key Skills

Primary

• Support Sourcing Portfolio and Sourcing Specialists with Sourcing and Category strategy development and execution.

• Lead and manage the sourcing and category strategy development execution of assigned subcategories, initiatives or contracts.
  

Subsidiary

• Support development quantitative and qualitative models and processes for RFx.

• Provide analysis support and research for RFX's including supplier response evaluations, supplier due diligence, benefits capture and ensuring the required artefacts are executed and correctly filed.

• Support engagement of internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing engagements comply with policy, regulatory and compliance requirements.

• Support negotiations with suppliers, review, endorse and contractual signoffs for contracts in line with delegated support.

• Understand the commercial management of executed contracts

• Support benchmarking activities
  

Stakeholder Management

• Participate in engagement frameworks to support and enhance internal customer relationships.

• Work collaboratively and proactively with key stakeholders to understand their business direction.

• Respond to stakeholder requests in a timely manner.

• Develop and share category knowledge and communicate this knowledge to appropriately advise business units and stakeholders.
  

Data Analytics & Market Analysis

• Work with the Sourcing team to analyse internal spend, including interrogation of spend databases and systems to maintain a spend baseline.

• Contribute to the research and development of category leading practices, supply market dynamics, trends, cost drivers and support to implement relevant industry procedures such into practice
  

Reporting

• Prepare and distribute routine and ad-hoc reports using information extracted from the business systems external sources.

• Develop and improve financial and commercial models and templates.

• Maintain full, accurate and timely reporting and information on assigned categories, initiatives and contracts.
