To support our growing operations and digital transformation initiatives, we are seeking an experienced Software Developer to maintain and enhance our enterprise systems, including our ERP platform and internal analytics infrastructure.

About the Role

The Software Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining and optimising enterprise-level software systems that support manufacturing, logistics, sales and project operations.

This position requires strong expertise in Python-based development, ERP systems, system integrations and performance optimisation within production environments.

Benefits

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum + superannuation

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance Python-based ERP systems (including Odoo)
• Migrate and upgrade legacy ERP versions to current frameworks
• Develop scalable web applications and RESTful APIs using Django
• Implement system-wide search functionality using Elasticsearch
• Analyse application and system logs using Filebeat and Metricbeat
• Develop dashboards and real-time reporting solutions using Grafana
• Optimise backend performance and database queries
• Develop ETL pipelines and real-time data processing systems
• Containerise development environments to ensure deployment consistency
• Conduct research and development on emerging technologies including Generative AI

Qualification & experience

Skills & Experience Required

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline or sufficient experience to substitute formal qualification
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Software Developer
• Advanced proficiency in Python and Django framework
• Demonstrated experience with ERP systems (preferably Odoo)
• Experience implementing Elasticsearch-based search solutions
• Experience with monitoring and reporting tools such as Grafana
• Strong experience developing RESTful APIs
• Sound knowledge of database management and query optimisation
• Experience with containerised development environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
