Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager, the Site Engineer will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of civil construction and infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, project requirements and Australian Standards.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders to support engineering outcomes and project delivery objectives.

Task & responsibilities
- Coordinate civil construction and infrastructure activities in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications and project requirements
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation and construction specifications
- Develop and manage quality documentation including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), work packs and project records
- Monitor project progress and provide engineering input to support delivery and resolve technical issues
- Coordinate procurement activities and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to support project delivery schedules
- Assist with project planning, forecasting, cost tracking and variation management
- Conduct site inspections and ensure completed works comply with engineering and quality requirements
- Liaise with project managers, site personnel, subcontractors and stakeholders regarding engineering and project matters
- Monitor project risks and contribute to project reporting and performance tracking
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, Australian Standards and company procedures
- Prepare project reports and maintain accurate project documentation
Qualification & experience
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor qualification in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience within civil infrastructure, construction or project delivery environments
- Experience in site engineering, project coordination or infrastructure delivery projects
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Exposure to procurement, scheduling, cost monitoring and project documentation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Sound understanding of Australian Standards and workplace health and safety requirements
- Current White Card and driver's licence preferred
Experience using AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam or similar project management software will be highly regarded.
