GeoMoby is a Perth-based technology company working on location intelligence and real-time tracking. Our current focus is the mining industry, though our platform is used across construction and resources more broadly.
We've been at this since 2013. Our cloud platform handles geofencing and live tracking with a strong emphasis on positional accuracy and low battery consumption - two things that are genuinely hard to get right on mobile. Our software runs in open-pit and underground mining operations, which means it has to hold up in difficult, real-world conditions.
It does two things that usually pull against each other: it helps keep underground workers safe, and it helps mines run more productively and at lower cost.

As we are expanding, we're looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Developer to join our team and own our native apps end to end: architecture, coding, testing, documentation, and API integration.
This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll set technical direction, mentor the developers around you, and stay close to the code. You'll own your projects, make the calls that need making, and push back on technical decisions when you think they're wrong. The work ships to customers worldwide and runs in environments where reliability actually matters.
We've also applied AI and ML to real problems in our products and tooling - things like smarter geofencing, predictive tracking and 3D positioning. We're looking for someone who has done this in practice, not in theory, so hands-on AI experience is a requirement.
Lead and mentor a small team of mobile developers, and set the bar for code quality.
Own the architecture and technical direction of our native iOS and Android apps.
Build location-tracking and geofencing features that are accurate and battery-efficient.
Design and integrate the APIs between our mobile clients and cloud platform.
Apply/Code with AI/ML and tackle real product problems.
Keep scalability, reliability, and performance front of mind across the mobile stack.
Work with product, backend, and field teams to ship things that hold up in the real world.
5+ years of commercial mobile development in Swift/Objective-C (iOS) OR Kotlin/Java (Android)
Hands-on AI experience — e.g. using LLM/AI tooling to ship real products.
A track record of shipping and publishing commercial apps to the App Store and Google Play.
Real team leadership experience — you've guided developers and raised the standard of a team's work.
Comfort with the hard parts: scalability, reliability, and performance.
Clear communication, including with non-technical people.
Solid experience working in an agile environment.
Experience with geospatial / location services, background location, BLE, or sensor data.
Background in real-time systems, telematics, or IoT.
Familiarity with CI/CD for mobile and automated testing.
Exposure to cross-platform frameworks (Flutter / React Native) alongside native work.
Real ownership: you'll lead a team and own the technical direction, not just tickets.
Hard, interesting problems — accuracy, battery, and reliability on mobile, plus practical AI work.
Products that are actually used in the field, worldwide.
A small, technical team where your decisions carry weight.
If this sounds like the kind of work you want to be doing, we'd like to hear from you.
Role based in Perth, WA. On-site only — no remote.
