This role suits an experienced hairdresser who enjoys working in a busy salon and delivering high-quality services to a diverse client base. Our salon offers cutting, colouring, styling, and specialised treatments for men and women.

As a Senior Hairdresser, you will perform precision cuts, colouring, styling, and advanced treatments while maintaining a welcoming salon environment and building strong client relationships.

This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary between $75,000 – $85,000 per year plus superannuation.

Task & responsibilities

• Provide professional hair cutting and styling services for both men and women.
• Perform hair colouring services including highlights, balayage, and colour corrections.
• Deliver advanced hair treatments such as keratin treatments, straightening, and hair care services.
• Create a range of styles including blow-dries, upstyles, braids, and special event styling.
• Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable styles or treatments.
• Advise clients on hair care routines and suitable hair products.
• Maintain hygiene standards by sanitising tools, equipment, and workstations.
• Manage appointments and walk-in clients efficiently to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Process transactions using the salon’s point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive salon environment and mentor junior team members when required.

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III or IV in Hairdressing.
• At least 2 years of hairdressing experience in a salon environment.
• Strong skills in hair cutting, colouring, and styling.
• Ability to consult with clients and deliver personalised results.
• Good knowledge of professional hair products and hair care.
• Friendly, professional attitude with strong teamwork skills.
