Senior Functional Consultant, MuleSoft

Role Purpose

In this role, you will work closely with solution architects, development teams, and various departments across the company to create and document effective integration and migration designs. Your focus will be on refining design processes, ensuring alignment with architectural principles, and minimizing repeated discussions and rework.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with solution architects to develop detailed designs for integrations and migrations.  
• Ensure designs follow best practices and are in line with the overall technical architecture.
• Organize and lead design workshops with cross-functional teams across different departments and directorates.  
• Document key decisions and outcomes to streamline the design process and avoid redundant discussions.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including diagrams and process flows using Visio and Confluence.  
• Use Jira to track design iterations and maintain project transparency.
• Develop clear, actionable user stories in an agile environment to support development activities.  
• Serve as the communication link between development teams and solution architects to maintain design consistency. 

Experience & Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Proven experience with MuleSoft (4.x) & Anypoint platform in a complex ICT environment
• Proven understanding of system architectures and the principles behind them, especially in integration and migration contexts
• Expertise in integration strategies and data migration patterns, with experience handling sensitive information
• Good knowledge of handling Personally Identifiable Information (PII) within integration and migration efforts
• Proficiency in Confluence for documentation, Jira for tracking project progress, and Microsoft Visio
• Experience working in agile environments, contributing to iterative development and continuous improvements
• Proven experience in technical design and integration/migration projects
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent organizational and documentation abilities

Set Yourself Apart With

• Mulesoft Developer or Architect certification.
• Experience with Mulesoft CloudHub, on-premises deployment, and hybrid integration models.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for Mulesoft development.
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
• Good understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-based integration solutions.
