Sketch Corp is a brand and marketing agency with a difference – we work almost exclusively in agribusiness. For over a decade, we've partnered with some of the biggest names in Australian agriculture, helping them shape the way Australians eat, live, work and invest.

We're growing, and we're looking for a Senior Copywriter and Content Specialist to join us.

This is a role for someone who genuinely loves words and the craft of writing. Someone who reads a brief thoroughly, finds the angle, and pens copy that earns its place on the page. You move confidently across formats and channels, and you know the difference between copy that reads well and copy that connects and converts. 

About you

• You're a senior copywriter or content specialist with strong experience across both short and long-form copy, including websites, campaigns, social media, EDMs and branded collateral.

• You shift tone, structure and register depending on the brand, audience and channel, and you do it deftly. 

• You're adept at working from a strategy, a brand voice guide or a brief. You respect the thinking behind it, can interpret it, and know how to bring it to life. 

• You understand the difference between writing for organic content and paid media, and you know how to calibrate your approach for each.

• You ask questions, push boundaries and draw out stories that stop someone from scrolling or turning the page.

• You have a meticulous eye for detail, with a sharp instinct for spelling, grammar, structure and editing. You also have a strong understanding of SEO principles.

• You write first and use AI second. We support the considered use of GenAI for workflow, research and refinement. But beautiful copy, strong ideas and clear communication still need to come from a writer with experience, taste, judgement and skill.

• You've worked in an agency or fast-paced communications environment before. You know what it means to deliver to a brief, to a deadline, and to a high standard.

• You’re confident working with clients, conducting interviews, and collaborating closely with strategists, designers, project managers and coordinators. 

The role

You'll work closely with our Brand and Communications Manager, taking her strategic direction and bringing it to life across a wide range of client work. Day to day, that includes:

• Website copy – clear, on-brand, informed by SEO best practice.

• Blogs, articles, EDMs and long-form content written in each client's voice.

• Social and paid media copy calibrated to platform, audience and performance.

• Brochures, capability statements and branded collateral.

• Interviewing clients and business leaders to surface meaningful stories.

• Supporting our Marketing Coordinator to keep social schedules moving, considered and ahead of deadlines.

• Reviewing content performance and using insights to help inform future content decisions.

The practical details

This is a fully remote role. However, we're looking for someone based in South East Queensland or Northern New South Wales. Connection still matters to us, so you'll join the team in person in Brisbane or on the Gold Coast from time to time, and occasionally when we travel to meet clients across Australia.

We're open to a four or five-day workweek, with flexibility around start and finish times for the right person. Salary is $90,000 + super, pro rata to days worked.
