Senior Civil Estimator

My client, a National based Contractor is seeking a Senior Civil Estimator to lead tendering for landmark civil projects across NSW. Based out of the Sydney office, this position offers the opportunity to play a key role and tender medium to large-scale multi-discipline civil and infrastructure projects. You could also be a Senior Estimator that wants to step into an Estimating Managers role. Duties:Manage tenders for civil and infrastructure projects.Review tender opportunities.Develop and/or review first principle estimates for civil, infrastructure and mutli-disciplinary projects.Assessing and addressing associated technical and commercial risks related to civil construction.Develop and review tender-specific programs, methods, and clarifications, with a focus on civil construction methodologies.Experience:Proven experience leading successful bids/tenders for civil and infrastructure projects using best practices approaches.Negotiation and a sound understanding of contract management and cost optimization within the civil industry.Manage commercial, financial, and technical risks and opportunities to civil construction.Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. particularly in relation to civil estimating.Skills / Qualifications:Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.Strong experience in bulk earthworks, roadworks, drainage, and other civil infrastructure projects.A combination of project management and estimating experience in civil construction.
