The Intrax Projects Division partners with developers, architects and builders to deliver complex, large-scale developments that shape how people live, work and move. The Projects division offers multi-disciplinary design with teams across civil, structural and building services engineering. 
  
Our Civil Projects team are an important part of the Intrax business and have a track record of growth and success over many years. We now have a rare opportunity to join the team as a Senior Civil Engineer.
  
Your Role Will Involve

• Collaborating with colleagues within Projects and other divisions of the organisation for knowledge sharing, stakeholder engagement and building of the Intrax brand.
• Civil engineering design for building and in-boundary projects (commercial, residential, education, healthcare and multi-storey residential developments), and associated public domain projects such as sports fields and council facilities.
• Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with team members, clients, drafters, contractors, Council and other authorities, architects and builders.
• Coordinate with the team to establish workflow, supporting the organisation’s culture of being a learning organisation.
• Opportunities to work closely with management teams and start building, maintaining and fostering strong relationships with clients, supporting business development activities to support our existing client and promote new business.
• Lead the delivery of technically accurate, cost-effective and optimum designs in accordance with Australian standards.
• Act as internal project lead for multi-disciplinary projects ensure coordinate and timely design solutions to satisfy the established client brief.
• Identify and seek opportunities to influence and contribute to innovative and technical and process improvement projects for the team business at large.
• Conduct site inspections as part of construction administration tasks such as site progress inspections, resolving on site conditions and responding to contractor RFIs.

  
To Be Successful in This Role You Will Have

• 7+ years of professional experience for Civil engineering projects a minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree in engineering – Civil
• Ability to lead internal team members and the allocation of tasks and projects
• Design experience: stormwater drainage, onsite stormwater detention, pump systems, pavement design, carparking, access driveways/manoeuvring areas (geometry and pavement levels) for larger building led developments to authority and client requirements.
• Proficient in 3D design software (Intrax software includes Civil 3D, Civil Site Design, 12D, DRAINS and AutoCAD) for earthworks, road, drainage, sewer and pavement level design.
• Understanding of stormwater design to WSUD guidelines, including MUSIC modelling
• Knowledge of Australian Standards, Austroads, and other relevant authority standards for road and drainage design
• Understanding of minor flood assessments (desirable)
• Ability to manage, train and mentor engineers in the civil team
• Design and Building Practitioner/National Engineering Register is desired
