As a Senior Barber, you will provide high-quality haircuts, beard grooming, and styling services while building strong client relationships. You will also contribute to maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere in the hair salon. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary between $70,000 – $85,000 per year plus superannuation.

Task & responsibilities

• Deliver expert haircuts and styling using advanced techniques such as layering, point cutting, and texturising.
• Provide beard trimming and facial grooming services with precision and professional care.
• Conduct client consultations to ensure personalised styling and high customer satisfaction.
• Advise clients on hair care, product use, and scalp treatments to maintain hair health.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness by sanitising tools and workstations after each client.
• Manage appointments efficiently to optimise time and enhance the client experience.
• Process transactions accurately using the salon’s point-of-sale system.
• Build strong client relationships by fostering a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
• Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues to uphold high service standards.

Qualification & experience

• Minimum 3 years of professional barbering experience in a salon environment
• Certificate III or IV in Hairdressing or Barbering preferred
• Strong technical skills in hair cutting, beard grooming, and precision styling
• Expertise in classic and modern barbering techniques, including fades, scissor cuts, and razor work
• Ability to provide personalised grooming advice and ensure client satisfaction
• Knowledgeable about barbering tools, hair care products, and beard maintenance
