The role:
As a Security Installer Technician at Nestor Security, you will be a key player in the installation and maintenance of advanced security systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, maintaining, repairing and configuring security equipment, possess technical expertise in CCTV, alarm systems, and intercoms.

Task & responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain security systems including alarms, CCTV, access control and intercom systems.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulations during all installations.
- Conduct comprehensive testing to guarantee the proper functionality of installed systems.
- Follow technical plans and installation instructions.
- Integrate access control, CCTV, intercoms, and alarms into a comprehensive security solution.
- Provide on-site training to clients on the operation and maintenance of security systems.
- Address client inquiries and promptly troubleshoot technical issues in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Diagnose and repair faulty electronic equipment (Alarms, CCTV, Intercom and Access Control)
- Re-wiring and terminating different types of cables including, fiber optics, structured, coaxial, and connect them to electronic security system
- Maintain accurate records of service and maintenance activities.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of security systems to ensure optimal performance
- Upgrade outdated parts with new parts when required, and/or add more devices to expand current security system, ex: more doors to be controlled, more cameras, more room/door stations…
Qualification & experience
AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) plus one year full time relevant experience in the last five years OR three years full time relevant experience in the last five years.
Current NSW 2BC Electronic Security License and cabler licence are mandatory. Holding other industry licences would be an advantage.
