Task & responsibilities

• Monitoring and patrolling assigned premises to maintain security and safety
• Controlling access to sites, buildings, and restricted areas
• Observing and reporting suspicious activities, incidents, and security breaches
• Responding to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents promptly and professionally
• Conducting routine inspections of premises, equipment, and security systems
• Preparing incident reports, daily activity logs, and security documentation
• Assisting with crowd control and maintaining order where required
• Providing customer service and assistance to staff, visitors, and clients
• Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety procedures
• Operating surveillance systems, communication devices, and security equipment
• Liaising with emergency services, management, and law enforcement where necessary
• Following company operational procedures and security protocols at all times

Qualification & experience

• Certificate II or III in Security Operations preferred
• Current Queensland Security Licence required(Desirable)
• Previous experience of minimum 1-3 years in security operations, crowd control, patrol, or guarding preferred
• Strong observation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Good understanding of workplace safety and security procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and capable of performing patrol and monitoring duties
• Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays where required
