About the role
Merriwa RSL Club is seeking an experienced Secretary Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our club located in Merriwa, NSW. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the club, while also driving strategic initiatives to enhance the member experience.
Candidates must be Australian citizens or permanent residents to be eligible for this position.
What you'll be doing
Manage all administrative and financial functions of the club, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance
Provide strong leadership and direction to the club's staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract new members and increase engagement
Liaise with the club's board of directors to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
Identify and capitalise on opportunities to improve club operations and member services
Ensure the club's compliance with all relevant industry regulations and legislation
What we're looking for
Proven experience in a similar management role within the club industry
Minimum of 5+ years management experience in the club industry is required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
Strong financial management and reporting skills, with a keen eye for detail
Demonstrated experience in driving strategic initiatives and implementing change
Thorough understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements, including RSA, RCG, ARCG and Liquor & Gaming NSW Licensee Training.
Comprehensive knowledge of all club industry compliance requirements is essential
Tertiary qualifications in business, hospitality management, or a related field would be highly regarded
